For me, real estate is a relationship business that transcends any singular transaction. Whether we are supporting the same client or sitting across the negotiating table, my goal remains the same: to partner together to provide our clients an optimal experience.
I believe in finding the win-win in every situation. The people we help should be rewarded for taking the bold step of pursuing real estate. A home is more than a home; it is a long-term investment in one’s future. It is our responsibility, as experts, to successfully navigate them through that journey.
The agent-lender dynamic is critical to my approach and ensures my clients are always in the strongest position possible. The chosen lender and I will align before I show the first home and certainly before writing the first offer. We will then stay in contact throughout.
A key aspect of the home search is the purchase price. Buyers should feel confident and comfortable with the pre-approval amount before we step into a home. It is also important to the sellers who select our offer that we are in a strong position going in. This means no surprises for anyone!
Fully supported buyers are confident buyers. My most successful home purchases have been alongside a lender who has remained available to my buyers and me throughout. This often includes running numbers on a home, providing strategic lending options or being available to provide a pre-approval during off-hours.
I call the listing agent before we see each home to learn what I can talk up my awesome buyers, and build a solid rapport. When it is time to write an offer, I copy the lender on the email to the listing agent. The next step is for the lender to call the listing agent and share how strong the buyers are financially.
Once we are under contract, I provide a weekly rundown of deliverables and expectations to my buyers, with the lender on a copy. This way we all remain on the same page and our buyers feel supported and one step ahead.
